A Learning Experience

“Sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war.” The US President Donald Trump very aptly stated the above line. One should always take losing in one’s stride and learn from the experience instead of quitting. Dipsites have proven that whether they win or they lose, they will always take back a valuable experience to be learned from.

The DPS team had an enthralling experience on 5 January 2019, Sunday as the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya debuted and played against the squad coached by Mahela Jayawardene (Sri Lankan cricketer).  They gave a very good match, though the students lost the nail-biting second match by just three wickets, they have refused to be defeated and have learned immensely important lessons from the match.

The ‘Best Bowler of the Tournament’, Vedant Limbasiya of class 8 H, said, Win or lose, I always learn something” and truly so.

Dev Shodan the ‘Man of the Series’ quoted Thomas A. Edison, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time, ” he also added that he will cherish this memory.

Dev Shah was awarded as the ‘Best Fielder of the Tournament’, said “I shall always remember this tournament as I was appreciated for my fielding skill”

Pritish Saraf was announced as the ‘Best Batsman of the Tournament’ said “ I enjoyed the entire series and also look forward to play such wonderful matches”

All our best wishes are with the young enthusiasts and we hope that they will continue with their mesmerising performance and refuse to be deterred by such small obstacles and hurdles in their way. Our students have arisen with the experience and rest assured; they will be back with a blast. We wish them all the very best for the future and hope that they will continue to make their school proud.
